Most people run their week across six apps that never speak to each other — a calendar in one, tasks in another, habits in a third, money in a fourth. Nothing reconciles, so the real question — is the effort adding up to the life I wanted? — has no system that can answer it. Work tools model the user as a resource and ignore personal commitments; life and wellbeing apps plan against an empty calendar and blame the user when the plan fails. Planning is divorced from capacity, context switching between 'founder at 10am' and 'parent at 6pm' is constant, and nothing measures whether time actually went to the areas of life that were said to matter.
We built AuraOne around three verbs — plan, do, reflect — sitting on a single data model and a context switch. Plan unifies calendar, tasks, reminders, goals, habits and notes on one surface with real two-way, multi-account Google and Outlook sync and an AI auto-scheduler. Do delivers team-capable workspaces with projects, milestones, Gantt timelines, files, messaging with WebRTC video, and per-project budget. Reflect is the part almost nothing else attempts — eight life pillars scored against both the data and the person's own rating, so the gap between what you are doing and what you meant to do becomes visible. Because every object — an event, task, habit, milestone or budget line — shares one schema and one permission model, a new module is a new view over existing data, not a new silo to sync.
React web application and React Native iOS/Android apps with home-screen widgets, all consuming one shared API
Node.js REST API with a single shared object model across events, tasks, habits, goals, notes, projects and budget lines
Work and personal context scoping enforced at the API boundary, not in each client
Single relational MySQL schema — life areas, workspaces and projects are rows and relationships, not separate stores
Two-way, multi-account calendar sync with Google and Outlook treated as a first-class product surface
LLM coaching and AI auto-scheduling layer with selectable tone and archetype-based onboarding
WebRTC for in-app video calling inside shared workspaces
Hosted on AWS (Sydney region) for an Australian-facing launch
“AuraOne demonstrates the thing that is hardest to show in a portfolio — that we can carry a product across a year of scope change, from a personal life app to team workspaces, finance and native mobile, without the architecture ever giving way.”
— AuraOne Product Team, Canny Technologies
AuraOne is a working product, not a prototype: live web and native mobile clients, real two-way calendar sync, team workspaces and finance — all on one schema, with a public marketing site, open waitlist and published pricing at auraone.app. The build validated the core bet — value lives in the seam between tools, in a single data model an incumbent with one silo cannot retrofit. Budget, project timelines and team load were each cheap to add precisely because none of them needed a new subsystem.
